The roots of the Swiss company, Zumbühl Transport and Kies AG, can be traced back to 1888. For CEO, Philipp Zumbühl, it is particularly important to continually keep up with the state-of-the-art technology. With the acquisition of a SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact in the combination of 3 + 5 with a 90 t payload, he has enlarged his existing fleet through the addition of a powerful and reliable vehicle for the transport of heavy construction equipment.

The SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact is a robust all-rounder produced using a lightweight construction for construction machinery transportation, and offers an excellent payload-tare weight ratio. Through a recessed coupling positioned between the first axle line of the dolly bogie unit along with other optimizations such as the moulded coupling points in the vehicle frame, the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact has gained almost one metre extra loading length whilst the combination length has remained the same. In the spacious prism boom recess, even large excavator arms can easily be accommodated.

Equipped with a telescopic platform and telescoping excavator deck, Zumbül´s new SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact is well-prepared to deal with all large transport assignments
With an axle compensation of 650 mm, the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact has set new standards in its vehicle category

The axle compensation of 650mm has set new standards in this class of vehicle. “Through the use of high-strength fine-grain structural steel, the weight could be reduced to an absolute minimum”, said Martin Rössler, Area Manager Sales at TII Sales, the joint sales and distribution company of SCHEUERLE, NICOLAS and KAMAG.

In addition, the telescoping excavator deck purchased by Zumbühl is equipped with an innovative boom design that facilitates a particularly low loading height. This has been achieved by means of a turning boom concept with lateral slide-in spacers which allows an external deck height of only fourteen centimetres. At the request of the customer, the EuroCompact is also available as a semi-modular system whereby two dollys, for example, can be joined together to form a 4-axle dolly. This always allows the customer to perfectly adapt the configuration to suit the centre of gravity of the payload.
