The Ruhr region is now one attraction richer: with the recently delivered SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact 4 + 6, theOberhausen-based forwarding company, Timmerhaus, now has a real highlight in its fleet. Accommodating payloads of up to 110tonnes along with an innovative extension concept make the vehicle something very special. In the process, payload dimensions are now feasible that have otherwise been reserved only for modular vehicles.
“With the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact 4 + 6, we are entering into the upper threshhold and in so doing realize the maximum possible from this. A 110 t payload – this is normally something only transported by modular vehicles”, says Joachim Kolb, Area Manager Sales at TII Sales, the joint sales and distribution company of SCHEUERLE, NICOLAS and KAMAG. “Particularly in the densely populated Ruhr region, interspersed with a wide range of weight-limited bridges, this was a real opportunity for our engineers to showcase what they are capable of,” added Kolb.
Through a recessed coupling positioned between the first axle line of the dolly bogie unit as well as other optimizations, the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS EuroCompact has gained almost one meter extra loading length whilst the combination length has remained the same. Together with a wide prism boom recess, a telescopic excavator deck, a spacer for the realization of a continuous loading area, and a range of heavy-duty lashing points, the compact semi-trailer is perfectly prepared for all possible loads.
