In this webinar, we’ll start with a look at the SWPPP Construction Site Monitoring Plan (CSMP), its key elements, influencing factors, and requirements. We’ll define what determines a Qualifying Rain Event (according to NOAA, etc.) and how you can define this for your site. Peters will then walk us through the what, when, where, and how of stormwater effluent sampling. Within this discussion, we’ll take a look at the key sampling parameters (pH, turbidity, etc.), considerations (e.g., TMDLs, receiving water risk, NELs, ATS, etc.), and equipment.
Peters will outline the best practices for sampling and monitoring of visible and non-visible pollutants, including: scheduling, sample collection and handling, and documentation. Building on this, we’ll take a look at the sample data collected, the best practices for analysis, and how you can use this to prove compliance or determine the necessary actions / mitigations at your site.
Finally, Peters will weigh in on the different roles (e.g., QSD, WPCM, etc.), plans (e.g., Water Quality Monitoring & Protection Plan, Sampling & Analysis Plan, etc.), requirements, and possible non-compliance penalties pertaining to the SWPPP Construction Site Monitoring Plan.
