Little Wonder’s Hydro Brush Cutter features hydrostatic drive with clutchless variable operating speeds

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (April 27, 2016) — Little Wonder, an industry leader in debris management, grounds maintenance and asphalt and paving site preparation equipment, offers the BRC-26 Hydro Brush Cutter. The BRC-26 features a hydrostatic drive with clutchless variable operating speeds — as fast as 4.2 miles per hour driving forward and 1.7 miles per hour in reverse — which makes it easy to adapt to changing worksite conditions.

“With our hydrostatic drive, operators adjust speed instantly for varying terrains without shifting gears,” said Bruno Quanquin, Little Wonder vice president of sales and marketing. “Also, we built in additional features for productivity, ease-of-use, durability and easy maintenance.”

The brush cutter tackles a variety of vegetation including weeds, heavy brush and dense vegetation, clearing about an acre of brush per hour. The Little Wonder brush cutter effectively handles heavy, thick brush and trees up to 2 inches thick and 5 feet high. It features solid rods to connect the transmission, park brake and blade clutch eliminating the risk of branches getting tangled in and breaking the cables that are commonly used on competitive units.

Operator comfort and safety components include a wraparound hand guard across the handlebars and front of the machine to shield the operator’s hands. In addition, five swinging 12-gauge steel deck plates line the front of the unit for better containment of   debris — an added feature many competitive units don’t incorporate. Plus, a speed limiter dial allows the operator to set the maximum speed for the conditions while on the go. And, a parking break provides secured footing when parking on slopes and hills.

Like all Little Wonder commercial equipment, the BRC-26 is designed with steel construction ensuring durability in the toughest conditions. A steel push bar in front of the machine easily knocks down saplings. In addition, 1 1/2-inch wide and 1/4-inch thick 7-gauge plate steel skid shoes provide excellent flotation over rough terrain. Some competitive units cut costs by using inexpensive tubing for the skid shoes that easily dents and requires frequent replacement. Further, Little Wonder bolts, rather than welds, its brush cutter deck roof plate to the cutting deck for making easy-access adjustments.

The Little Wonder Hydro Brush Cutter features 16-inch foam-filled tires to prevent punctures from brush, nails, glass or other sharp items. The tires’ rugged tread adds traction across overgrown grasses and weeds.

For reduced maintenance, the brush cutter features easy-access service points. Visible indents on the unit’s sides simplify greasing. Plus, operators can replace the belt in minutes by simply removing four bolts. The tempered spring steel 26-inch cutting blade is sharpened on all sides and is reversible to double the blade life. When it’s time to replace the blade or spindle, both easily unbolt. Some competitive units weld the spindle to the deck, forcing operators to replace the entire deck if the spindle gets damaged.

The Little Wonder Hydro Brush Cutter is powered with a choice of Honda® GXV390 or 12.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton® Intek™ engine.

For easy transport, the unit incorporates cutouts for running tether straps, which makes it easy to secure on a trailer or truck bed.

Little Wonder backs its Hydro Brush Cutter with a two-year commercial and rental warranty.
