The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has been talking to the press. The Association has recently spoken to The New York Times, the Financial Times, and Politico expressing the dire circumstances that would be brought on to equipment manufacturers as a result of retaliatory tariffs to Trump administration trade policies. Now AEM is jumping from print and web publications to television.

AEM Vice President of Public Affairs and Advocacy, Kip Eideberg, was on “CNN Money with Maggie Lake” last week. He pushed back on the administration’s trade policy tactics and suggested an approach AEM feels would be helpful to the 1.3 million men and women working in the industry.

Harley-Davidson Motorcycles has announced that it will be moving some of its manufacturing operations to Europe, specifically to avoid retaliatory tariffs. Do you think that’s something heavy equipment OEMs should be worrying about?
