SALINA, KANSAS – Bergkamp, Inc. will have its industry-leading experts on hand in Booth S6119 in the Silver Lot during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020, March 10-14, 2020, in Las Vegas, for questions and discussions about the company’s unique and innovative pavement maintenance solutions. Bergkamp’s mission is to make people’s lives better by “Making Roads Better.” The company achieves this goal by continually improving its equipment solutions for pavement preservation and road maintenance – and supporting its equipment with superior service. During the show, visitors will see new and updated equipment, including the M310E Tier 4 truck-mounted slurry seal and micro surfacing paver with EMCAD (Electronic Mix Control And Diagnostic), as well as Bergkamp’s new, industry-exclusive MSB (Modular Spreader Box).

The M310E truck-mounted slurry seal and micro surfacing paver receive power from a Tier 4 truck engine that fulfills stringent emissions regulations. Bergkamp developed the M310E from the original M310 paver, with its proven efficiency and productivity, adding PTO-driven hydraulic pumps to the design that allows the elimination of the side engine. This feature, along with the Tier 4 truck engine technology, allows customers to reduce their emissions reporting and equipment maintenance needs.

The M310E utilizes direct-drive hydraulics that are controlled by Bergkamp’s advanced EMCAD System, which is designed to manage power inputs and electronically control material outputs to maintain the desired mix specification. Standard on the M310E, EMCAD displays current and average material ratios, total material used and material application rates, eliminating manual calculations and simplifying calibration. In addition, it electronically self-diagnoses and

displays easy-to-read indication lights and diagnostics, reducing troubleshooting and repair time. Even less-experienced operators can quickly make adjustments during production without compromising the accuracy of the mix. EMCAD can produce on-demand and end-of-day reports to track production for individual sections of the job, or the entire job, via an onboard printer. Ultimately, the system allows the operator to control the production with simple adjustments, while the driver progresses at an optimized rate of speed – ensuring faster project completion.

Designed using customer feedback, the new Modular Spreader Box (MSB) is easily built to order, due to its modularity. As Bergkamp’s next generation of variable-width spreader box, the MSB not only expands and contracts on the fly during operation of the micro surfacing paver, but the MSB is capable of reaching 16 feet in width. This provides ideal flexibility for operators performing micro surfacing work on pavements where the width can fluctuate throughout the job. It also eliminates unwanted construction joints and greatly improves pavement driving quality.

Bergkamp Inc. has been manufacturing pavement maintenance equipment since 1977. The company offers a full line of truck-mounted, trailer-mounted and continuous slurry seal and micro surfacing pavers and equipment, as well as spray injection and all-in-one pothole patching equipment.
