Three new Caterpillar C-series Multi-Terrain Loaders feature a new undercarriage designed for maximum durability, easy maintenance, and a superior ride, says the company.

The new loaders offer electrohydraulic joystick control of the hydrostatic drive system and electronic torque management for smooth operation and high productivity. Additional options on the three models—the 277C, the 287C, and the 297C—include high-flow hydraulics, which expand the range of attachments the machines can handle. With a rated operating capacity of 4,233 pounds, the 297C is the largest-capacity machine of its type that Caterpillar has produced. Operating capacity on the 287C is 3,854 pounds, and for the 277C the capacity is
3,212 pounds.

Caterpillar says the new undercarriage features three rows of lugs on the 18-inch-wide rubber tracks. That creates a larger area for the track to engage with the guide system. Also, the track-tensioning system has been simplified to allow for quicker and easier adjustments.
