Much of the recent innovations and new technology in the manufacturing of heavy equipment have come in the name of increasing efficiency. Simply put, it has been an effort to limit the amount of time that’s wasted. But perhaps it’s not the machines we should be turning to for that. Perhaps we should evaluate ourselves.

Since my beloved Detroit Tigers finished the season in last place in the American League Central Division and are out of the playoffs, I’ve been weaning myself off of the regular season by looking for any kinds of quirky baseball stories.
