TAMPA, Fla. – Black Diamond Coatings, a national producer of bio-based, environmentally-friendly sealers, hosted another BDC PRO certification program Friday in Brooksville, Florida at Flagstone Pavers.

During the course, a technical expert from Black Diamond Coatings demonstrated first-hand how their bio-based sealers are the leading option for contractors who are planning to seal concrete, pavers, stone and wood surfaces. Their water-based sealer products are in a class of their own and are safe to use around food, animals, landscaping and children.

“BDC PRO contractors are a growing group of individuals that understand the best practices of applying our products and deliver the best results to their customers,” said David Warren, president of Black Diamond Coatings. “Our bio-based sealers, which are not only the top of the line in quality, are environmentally friendly.”

After the instruction, demonstration and troubleshooting, those in attendance obtained their BDC PRO certification.

“A lot of companies recommend diluting their products with water and David instructed us it is not recommended with their products,” said Bart Citro, president of Weeki Wachee Stone Yard. “This is very important to me as I advertise I do not dilute the products I use for my customers and want to provide them with the best possible products.”

Black Diamond Coatings manufactures sealers for a wide variety of hardscape products including concrete, masonry, clay and natural stone pavers like travertine. Their sealers provide an enhanced visual appeal and allow for easier cleaning and maintenance of the paver and stone surfaces while extending the life and aiding in joint stabilization.

Other upcoming BDC PRO certification classes this year, which are provided free of cost and scheduled throughout Florida, include:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Oldcastle Coastal located at 8910 N.12th St. in Tampa.
