Let’s start with the current state of technology in grading and excavation. We have state-of-the-art telematics and machine control; we’re developing autonomous and semi-autonomous machines; we have entire worksites and projects being controlled and monitored by software; we’re now beginning to use augmented reality and virtual reality in training and on the job. And, we are creating artificial intelligence that can run it all.
Consider for a moment that all of our technological progress is going come to a halt at some point in the future. Why?
Because if what some scientists theorize is correct, we will eventually find out that our entire world, our entire universe, our entire existence, is a simulation.
